Background

Biographical / historical:

Cynthia Russell, Beth Garfield, and Susan Heck along with Professor Myra Strober, founded Stanford's Center for Research on Women (CROW) in 1974, now the Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford University, and served as the Institute's first administrator. Russell currently serves as a board member and advisor to several nonprofit organizations and volunteers in the Stamford, Conn., community, where she lives.
