Scope and content:

This scrap book has an embossed cover showing a bird sitting on a ladies hand. It contains newspaper clippings pasted on each page. There are a few unidentified family photographs. There are articles from San Francisco and East Bay newspapers about the Highland Park & Fruitvale Railway, the Oakland, San Leandro & Haywards Electric Railway, Risdon Iron Works and some articles about air brakes, conductors sleeping on the job, and the management of a Jim-Crow line.
