Scope and content:

Theatre Rhinoceros, or Theatre Rhino, is one of the world’s longest-running continuously producing professional queer theaters. It was founded in San Francisco in August 1977, by the late Allan B. Estes, Jr. The collection includes a historical reflective essay written by Christopher Guerin, programs, clippings, and annotated production play scripts and casting and rehearsal notes for 7 plays produced from 1981-1984 including: Street Theater, T-Shirts, The Enclave, Vieux Carre, Bad Drama, Sins of the Father: A Gay Farce, and Pogey Bait.
