Scope and content:

Collection of approximately 99 photographs, cabinet cards, and negatives taken by a number of different photographers. Portrait photographs (unidentified) represent local San Jose, California, studios such as Bushnell, Boussum, and Hill & Yard (circa 1890); identified portraits of State Normal School at San Jose graduates were taken in 1893; an unidentified family photograph album includes multiple scenes from Yosemite National Park (circa 1895); 15 personal photographs taken at Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce Canyon National Parks in August 1873 include original negatives and feature a woman named Ruth. The photographer may be "C. Hand." Also included are an assortment of snapshots and official photographs of Yosemite National Park (circa 1895).
