Robert Percy Moore was born on June 18, 1879 in Belleville, Illinois to Tilghman Beecher and Phebe [Bolling] and passed away in 1952. Moore was a member of the Order of Railroad Telegraphers for 45 years. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1946. Moore began work as a telegrapher with Western Union and in 1907 started to work for the Oregon Short Line Railroad. In 1912 he began to work for the Union Pacific Railroad. In addition to the Union Pacific Railroad, Moore was also employed by the Nevada Northern, San Pedro Railway, Oregon Short Line and the Union Pacific between 1912 and 1940, in Nevada, Utah and Idaho. Moore married Zella Laverne Graham in Salt Lake City in July 2, 1906. Together, they had one daughter, Thea, and two sons, Robert G. and Norris Read. Moore passed away on February 13, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
