Scope and content:

This album contains about 120 4x5 black and white photos of early construction activity at Snodgrass Slough and other locations along the route of the Sacramento Southern Railroad. The photos are keyed to a map included in the album. The Sacramento Southern Railroad which later became the Walnut Grove Branch of the Southern Pacific. There are many photos of a major flood of the Sacramento River. Shows the towns of Rio Vista, Isleton, and Hood.
