Scope and content:: The collection consists of yearbooks of the Ebell of Los Angeles from 1894 to 2016. The first issues were titled “The Ebell” and contain a mixture of annual reports, bulletins, and notes. The title “Year Book” first appears on the 1912-1913 cover, though previous volumes follow an identical format. Contents include a list of Officers, Directors, Committees, and Members and reports from the President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, General Curator, Department Sections, Committees, and Rest Cottage Association. Some of the annuals contain a history of the Ebell, photographs of the various clubhouses and Rest Cottage, and member portraits. Early volumes also included Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws. The yearbooks published in 2004-2005 and after include The Directory.
