Scope and content:

2 black and white photo albums documenting the derailment of multiple Southern Pacific locomotives and attached trains.

Album 146 is comprised of Southern Pacific train derailments. Locomotives derailed include: SP 6104, SP 4430, SP 4471, SP 8067, SP 5337.

Album 147 is comprised of Southern Pacific train derailments, Sacramento shops photos (men and women working in the shops), live steam and model railroad equipment, and group images of retirement celebrations. Locomotives derailed include: SP 4213, SP 4465, SP 1753, SP 5037, SP 5205. There is a series of images showcasing the SP Daylight locomotive.
