Joseph Cotten (1905-1994) was an American actor in radio, stage, television, and film productions. His friendship and work with Orson Welles gained Cotten recognition from roles in Citizen Kane, The Magnificent Ambersons, and Journey into Fear. He remained active in film and television until 1981, when health issues ended his career.
