The contents of this collection are made up of videorecordings that consist of interview sessions and performances by Hanya Holm, the primary subject of this collection is a selection of outtakes from: Hanya, portrait of a pioneer, which was shown on PBS in 1985.Other artists mentioned within this collection include: Marilyn Cristofori (1940-2023), Glen Tetley (1926-2007), Alwin Nikolais (1910-1993 ), Julie Andrews (1935- ), Mary Anthony (1916-2014 ), and Murray Louis (1926-2014).

Biographical / historical:

Hanya Holm (born March 3, 1893, Worms, Germany – died November 3, 1992, New York City) is known as one of the "Big Four" founders of American modern dance. She was a dancer, choreographer, and above all, a dance educator.
