Scope and content:

This collection contains scripts chiefly for the radio and television series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" received from television writer Ben Gershman (1907-1995). Materials consist of scripts for 1 episode of the radio program "Hollywood Star Preview" (1948); 17 episodes of the radio program "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet (1947-1952); and 8 episodes of the television program "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" (1952-1955). There are also 18 scripts for dialogue cutting continuities for the television version of "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" (1952-1953).

Biographical / historical:

Benjamin Gershman (1907-1995) was a television writer and member of the Writers Guild of America. He wrote scripts for many television series from the 1950s through the 1970s including "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet."
