The Si Rose Papers contains hundreds of scripts spanning Si Rose’s career in radio, television and film. Radio scripts include Abbott and Costello, The Bob Hope Show, The Edgar Bergen Show, and The Pepsodent Show. Television scripts include Dukes of Hazzard, Bachelor Father, Operation Petticoat, The Betty White Show, and The Frank Sinatra Show.
Si Rose (1917-2011) was a prolific writer and producer of radio and television shows. His radio career began in the 1940s and he moved to television sitcoms in the 1950s and 1960s. He frequently collaborated with wrier Seaman Jacobs. In the 1970s Rose worked on multiple children’s TV shows under Sid and Marty Krofft. Rose received one Writers Guild Award for radio writing, in 1957 for the Edger Bergen Show. He was married to Rita Sedran Rose.
