Collection includes scrapbook pages of clippings of advertisements and reviews for the play Counsellor-at-Law starring American actor Otto Kruger (1885-1974) at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles.

Biographical / historical:

Otto Kruger (1885-1974) was an American stage, film, and television actor. He made his Broadway debut in 1915 and quickly became a matinee idol, with his stage career reaching its height in the 1930s. Kruger went on to appear in sound films beginning with "Turn Back the Clock" (1933), but he would become best known for his roles in "Saboteur" (1942), and "Magnificent Obsession" (1954).

Received from Scott Menderson of the USC Drama Department in 1985.
