Scope and content:

Collection includes reports, committee notes and minutes, newsletters, clippings, photographs and photographic albums, a William Searby portrait plaque, and historical files detailing the formation of the UCSF School of Pharmacy.

Biographical / historical:

The UCSF School of Pharmacy was founded in 1872 as the California College of Pharmacy, and became affiliated with UCSF in 1873. It was the first college of pharmacy established in the West, and the tenth in the United States.

Acquisition information:
Transferred to the archives by Susan Levings, Associate Dean of the UCSF School of Pharmacy, in 2015.
