- Angela Brinskele has been the Director of Communications of the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives since 2006. Brinskele is also a freelance photographer who aims to preserve women's history through photography. She has been documenting the LGBT community since the mid 1980's and has documented many LGBT organizations and events including the LA Gay and Lesbian Center, Women On a Roll, Dinah Shore Weekend, Prides all over Southern California, as well as covering political activism including the 1991 March on the Capitol in Sacramento over AB101. This collection contains photographs covering gay and lesbian cultural and pride events from 1986 through 2008, with a focus on lesbians in Southern California.

Angela Brinskele has been the Director of Communications of the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives since 2006. She is the first paid staff person since they were founded in 1981. Brinskele studied photography at Cal State Fullerton and works as a freelance photographer who aims to preserve women's history through photography. She has been documenting the LGBT community since the mid 1980's with a special emphasis on Lesbians in Southern California. Brinskele has worked as a photographer for The Lesbian News for several years, as well as for Outfest since the late 1990s. Angela has documented many LGBT organizations and events including the LA Gay and Lesbian Center, Women On a Roll, Dinah Shore Weekend, Prides all over Southern California, as well as covering political activism including the 1991 March on the Capitol in Sacramento over AB101.

The June L. Mazer Lesbian Archive at UCLA is an outreach and collection-building partnership between the June L. Mazer Lesbian Archives, the UCLA Center for the Study of Women (CSW) and the UCLA Library. These collections expand the pool of primary source materials available to researchers and to the community at large. This partnership was initiated by CSW and is funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to inventory, organize, preserve, and digitize more than eighty Mazer collections pertaining to lesbian and feminist activism and writings.
