Collection consists of more than sixty black and white photographs (mostly size 8” x 10” and 11” x 14”) taken of individuals and prominent LGBT figures in San Francisco in the early 1980s, many of which are included in Kanemoto’s 1984 photography book We Are. Collection also contains Kanemoto’s book We Are and two folders of periodical clippings in which Kanemoto’s work is featured: San Francisco magazine, Bay Area Reporter, and Advocate magazine.
