The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (OVPTL) was founded in 2019 to promote "students' academic and future success through campus and community partnerships" (Dennin, 2022). OVPTL accomplishes this mission through three major divisions: Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE), Division of Teaching Excellence and Innovation (DTEI), and the Division of Summer Session (OVPTL, 2021). The Division of Undergraduate Education (DUE) is committed to support and enrich the academic experiences of undergraduate students so they succeed and thrive (DUE, n.d.). The Division of Teaching Excellence and Innovation (DTEI) strives towards creating community with faculty, graduate students, and postdocs to improve students' academic success through inclusive excellence (DTEI, 2024). The Division of Summer Session offers hundreds of courses, many online or interdisciplinary, that give students the opportunity to make up classes or advance through their degree programs more efficiently (Dennin, 2022).
