Biographical / historical:

Irina Kunina Aleksander (née Irina Ephimovna Kunina) was a Russian émigré writer, editor, and pan-European intellectual. She was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. Her husband, Bozidar Aleksander, was a lawyer and originally from Zagreb, Yugoslavia. The Aleksanders lived and travelled throughout Europe and the United States.
