Scope and content:

The Los Angeles Schools and Homes Photograph Collection includes 35 photographs of two or three homes and two schools in the Los Angeles area. Images 1-11 include homes, exterior and interior views photographed by Mott Studios. Images 1-2 include home exteriors for a Mission Revival style two-story home, with arched chimneys, tile roof, and striped awnings. Images 3-8 consist of home interiors, with furnishings including tapestries, rugs, piano, upholstered furniture, and benches. Image 9 is a doorway through colonnade. Images 10-11 are two prints of the same image of the exterior of a Mission Revival style 2-story home, with wide lawn, patio enclosed by scalloped wall, and rectangular chimney. Image 12 is the exterior of a brick school with arches at left, photographed by George F. Adair Photo Service. Images 13-23 are of Audubon Junior High School (later Audubon Middle School), 4120 11th Avenue, Los Angeles. These were photographed by Arrow Studio. The exteriors of Audubon Junior High School depict the front, entrance, arcade, rear, auditorium, shops entrance, side view, and courtyard. The interior photographs include the library, auditorium, and an industrial area. Images 24-35 are of Dorris Place School (later Dorris Place Elementary School), 2225 Dorris Place, Los Angeles and photographed by Arrow Studio. Dorris Place School exteriors include the entrance, north-loggia, from north-east, from south-east, and rear.
