Peter Groubert was a gay man who lived in San Francisco. He was a train operator and served as Supervisor of the San Francisco Municipal Railway (Muni). He was an amateur photographer and the collection includes numerous photographs he took. Subjects in the collection include San Francisco Pride celebrations, Castro Street fairs and activities, HIV/AIDS, public transportation, and trains. Materials include photographs, correspondence, posters, artwork, T-shirts, Muni caps, ephemera, personal papers, and printed material.
