This collection contains newspaper clippings, and conference papersproceedings related to the "Seminario Internacional Escenarios Politicos de la Transici贸n a la Democracia," a seminar held in 1989 and run by three organizations: Centro de Documentacion y Estudios (CDE) de Asuncion, Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLASCO) de Santiago de Chile, and Fundacion Pablo Iglesias de Madrid.

The collection contains proceedings that discuss various political transitions in different Latin American countries such as Paraguay, Argentina, Peru and Chile. The collection also covers topics such as authoritarianism and political transitions in Paraguay, democratic and political processes in Argentina, and Chilean and Peruvian socialism from beginning to end.
