Contains deeds and land grants from Spanish and Mexican governments, and California government for the ownership of Rancho del Arroyo Chico. In Spanish and English. Begins with land grant of Rancho del Arroyo Chico to William Dickey, November 18, 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena. Hand drawn map showing the natural borders described as the Sacramento River to the east, and to the north along Big Chico Creek. The land grant contains 22,214.47 acres or five square miles. Sets of grants and deeds labeled A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. Decree from the United States to John Bidwell labeled H. Certified by J.W. Mandeville, Surveyor General of the United States for the State of California, on October 31, 1859.
