Biographical / historical:

Stanley Donen is an American director, producer, and choreographer. Donen directed some of Hollywood's most acclaimed musicals including SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS (1954) and FUNNY FACE (1957), and co- directed ON THE TOWN (1949), SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (1952), and DAMN YANKEES (1958). He received a 1997 Honorary Award from the Academy.
