Scope and content:: This collection contains photographs and an article from the Gardena Valley News which documents the local news, history, and activities in the city of Gardena from approximately 1980-1999. Photograph documentation includes parades, festivals, community and infrastructure improvements, commercial buildings and businesses, the Gardena Fire Department, Gardena High School/Gardena Community Adult School, accidents and accident victims, Gardena Civic Center Memorial, Memorial Hospital of Gardena and the Gardena Medical Center, local clubs and organizations, an article about rising child-actor, Butch Patrick, and more.
