This collection consists of the papers of American director, producer, and writer Jack Haley Jr. (1933-2001). Materials include scripts, awards, correspondence, contracts, budgets, and other production information for films and television programs. Haley worked on compilations and documentaries about film history, including "Hollywood and the Stars" (1963-1964), "That's Entertainment!" (1974), "That's Dancing!" (1985) and "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: 50 Years of Magic" (1990), as well as several Academy Award programs.

Biographical / historical:

Jack Haley Jr. (1933-2001) was an American director, producer, and writer. Haley worked on compilations and documentaries about film history, including "Hollywood and the Stars" (1963-1964), "That's Entertainment!" (1974), "That's Dancing!" (1985) and "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: 50 Years of Magic" (1990). He also was an executive producer for several Academy Award programs. He is the son of American actor, comedian, dancer, radio host, singer, and vaudevillian John Joseph Haley Jr.
