An indexed album includes 73 pages of 8x10 black and white images of Southern Pacific freight cars with interior, exterior, empty, and loaded cars. Organized by type of car, each photo includes a caption. Includes information about Load protection device cars ("LPD's"). The index includes a description of each type of car.
Equipment included are: Load protection device cars, box cars, flat cars, gondola cars, hopper cars, covered hoppers, Pacific Fruit Express equipment, TOFC equipment. Some of the interior images demonstrate loading of the cars as well as interior features of the cars. Some of the flat car images include demonstration of the Auto-pack features.
