This collection contains photographs, personal papers, memorabilia, correspondence, and other materials relating to the life of Lorraine Hurdle (1922-2014), a Black lesbian woman. Hurdle served in the United States Womenβs Army Corps (WAC) in Germany during World War II, and most of the contents in this collection document her career in the service during the war and after.
