This collection contains deeds and indentures carried out by Fannie B. Bludworth on behalf of her deceased husband, Charles Bludworth, regarding his properties in the village of Snelling, in the County of Merced.

Bludworth. 2. 05/27/1870: Receipt from Merced County Notary Public (Mark Howell) noting that "Fannie B. Bludworth, Administration of the Estate of Charles Bludworth, deceased." 3. 05/27/1870: Full copy of deed described in #1. 4. 08/06/1872: Deed for land in Snelling from Fannie Bludworth to H.C. Hines. 5. 08/06/1872: Deed, noting "B.D. White, guardian of Mary A., Charles F., Fannie R., & Mattie A. Bludworth, minor children of C.F. Bludworth, deceased" who sold property on 04/08/1872 for $100.
- Biographical / historical:

Fannie Bludworth was born Frances White in Missouri in 1840. She eventually came to California and married Charles "Bloody" Bludworth, first sheriff of Merced County, on 05/13/1857. After his death she married William N. Neill on 06/26/1875 in the El Capitan Hotel in Merced, California. She died in 1876.
