This collection consists of production materials of films produced by MGM. Extensive "Ben-Hur" (1959) set design materials from art director Edward C. Carfagno are represented. Other materials include storyboard illustrations, set design artwork, blueprints, correspondence, music scores, scripts, set stills, and studio lot maps.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM) is an American film and television production company founded in 1924. MGM was formed by Marcus Loew by merging Metro Pictures, Goldwyn Picture, and Louis B. Mayer Pictures into a single company.
