Research notes by Charles Henry Cooper for his Annals of Cambridge, a chronological history of the University of Cambridge and town from the earliest period to 1853. These notes cover the history of Cambridge from 1670 to 1819.
- Biographical / historical:

Charles Henry Cooper (1808-1866) was an English antiquarian and historian. He was born in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England, and privately educated in Reading, Berkshire. In 1826 he was living in Cambridge and was elected coroner of the borough in 1836. He later became a solicitor and began his own practice. He also dedicated his time to historical research, especially the history of the University of Cambridge. He published several works about the city of Cambridge and the university, including The Annals of Cambridge, which was published from 1842 to 1853. In 1849 he was elected to the post of Town Clerk, which he held until his death in 1866.
