John Ryland Graves Jr. was a USMC Sergeant during World War II, and later a Consolidated-Vultee-Convair-General Dynamics employee. He was born 10 November 1919 in Richmond, VA and died on 3 June 2017, in Fort Smith, AR. The majority of the collection contains approximately 400 photographs of various sizes. There are also some negatives. The photographs are from the San Diego US Army Photographic Air Wing during World War II, and combat scenes from the Pacific Islands. There are some graphic photographs of death and surgery within the collection.
