This collection was donated by Edward George Borgens, Jr. His parents were Edward G. Borgens, Sr. (1904-1984) and Helen Z. Donofrio (1910-1996). His father was a popular organist and performer, as well as owner of a music store in San Diego. His mother was a popular contralto who also taught many students in Southern California.
