Scope and content:

This collection consists of the audio recordings of American radio broadcaster and author Richard Lamparski. Lamparski started an interview show in 1965 on WBAI and went on interview more than 1,000 entertainers.

Biographical / historical:

Richard Lamparski is an American radio broadcaster and author. He started an interview show on WBAI in March 1965 where he interviewed old time entertainers from vaudeville to silent movie stars. Lamparski conducted more than 1,000 interviews over his career.
