The collection includes primarily letters from Isherwood to his friend Kirstein, with a few to and by others, and one poem by Isherwood: On His Queerness [approximately 1950].

Biographical / historical:

Christopher Isherwood (1904-1986), British-American author, emigrated to the United States in 1939. Lincoln Kirstein (1907-1996) was an American author and co-founder of the New York City Ballet.
