Biography/Administrative History
Scope and Content of Collection
The
AIDS
Emergency Fund collection consists primarily of materials related to the AEF, though some of the collection is related to
other
AIDS
-related charities, including the NAMES Project
AIDS
Memorial Quilt and PRC. The collection spans the years 1985 – 2019, with the bulk of the material dating from 1985-1999.
The AEF’s history is documented through its quarterly newsletter, Heart to Heart, and through invitations, programs, and clippings
related to its fundraising activities. Particular focus is given to the fundraising campaign Every Penny Counts, represented
through internal communications, publications, photographs, clippings, awards, and fundraising materials, including two standees
designed in the style of artist Keith Haring; and to the annual Bare Chest Calendar, represented by a nearly complete catalog
and promotional materials. GSSO linked terms: http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/GSSO_000521
