Published annually, in print, by the Associated Students organization of Claremont Men's College from 1948 through 2081 and then by the Associated Students organization of Claremont McKenna College from 1982 through 2008, Ayer is the yearbook for the college. Originally started as a men's college, the college became co-educational in 1976, and continued to be called Claremont Men's College. In 1981, the college was renamed Claremont McKenna College, recognizing the role of founding benefactor and trustee Donald McKenna.
