The collection consists of papers, photographs, sound cassette tapes, and an optical disk. It includes materials created by Hamilton Fish III, as well as materials collected by professor and historian Anthony Troncone. The collection contains copies of Fish's original works and research materials gathered by Troncone during the preparation of his dissertation on Fish.

Hamilton Fish III (1888-1991) was a politician, military officer, and veteran of World War I, serving with the Harlem Hellfighters. He represented New York as a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from 1920 to 1945. Fish was known for his advocacy of isolationism before World War II, his opposition to the New Deal, and his support of civil rights legislation.
Dr. Anthony Troncone taught at Dominican University New York for 27 years before retiring in 2019. His Ph.D. dissertation, "Hamilton Fish Sr. and the Politics of American Nationalism" was one of only two dissertations in existence written on the topic of Hamilton Fish III as of 2023.
