Background

Scope and content:

This collection contains materials related to the life and travels of Mary Clark Greer, an academic who was active in San Francisco Bay Area literary and artistic circles. She and her partner, Joie B. Hubbert, were together for 37 years. The bulk of the collection consists of photographic slides taken on trips in the 1950s and 1960s. There is also ephemera related to older lesbians and an autographed copy of "Will the Real Teacher Please Stand Up? A Primer in Humanistic Education," which she co-wrote with Bonnie Rubenstein. In 2005 Greer moved to England.
