Content Description
This collection contains 10 postcards addressed to Francis J. Doyle, one undated postcard addressed to Marjorie Gidley, and
various apparently unrelated ephemera from the Second World War. In the postcards to Francis Doyle, Francis Pikul writes that
he is near Doyle in San Diego, California and wants to see him again. The postcard to Marjorie Gidley is blank, only showcasing
the Sportsman Bar and Cocktail Lounge in Omaha, Nebraska. The ephemera consist of a handbook of the Pacific Ocean, photographs
from military newsletters, menus from the Camp Elliot Marine Corps holiday celebrations, and a pictoral storybook about the
Marines at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.
