Scope and content:

Record Series 432 contains the reports of the President of the University of California to the Regents of the University of California. Files include biennial and annual reports generated between 1888-1987. Early reports were to the Governor of the State of California, made by the President of the University on behalf of the Regents.

This is an inactive record series; no additional University records are expected to be added.

Biographical / historical:

The President of the University of California oversees operations of all University of California campuses, working with both chancellors (in charge of operations on individual campuses) and the Regents of the University of California (the University's main governing body). The position of President of the University of California has been held by the following people:
