A handwritten index of all chattel (movable property) mortgages recorded by the Yolo County Clerk-Recorded from 1879-1927. Contains information on the name of the mortgagees and mortgagors, the date of the mortgage, the book and page number of the official record and when (and if) the mortgage was discharged. Alphabetized by the name off the mortgagees. Volumes 1 and 2 share a ledger with the County Clerk-Recorder’s ledger of mechanic liens.
