Scope and content:

This 8-box collection documenting the history of the Unification Church was assembled by Warren W. Lewis. Lewishas published widely on the history and theology of the Unification Church as well as on his research specialization on the work of Peter John Olivi (1248-1298) and other texts of Olivi’s period. The collection documents the history, theology and internal processes of the Unification Church.

Biographical / historical:

Warren W. Lewis was graduated from Abilene Christian University (B.A. 1961, M.A. 1963), Harvard Divinity School (S.T.B. 1965), the Pontifical Institute of Medieval Studies (Toronto) (M.S.L. (1971), and the University of Tubingen (D.Theol. 1975). Among other places, he taught at the Unification Theological Seminary (1974-1981), Martin University (1988-2002) and is currently a Visiting Research Scholar at the Medieval Institute at the University of Notre Dame (2002-). He has published widely on the history and theology of the Unification Church as well as on his research specialization on the work of Peter John Olivi (1248-1298) and other texts of Olivi’s period.
