Abstract:
These serials were originally collected by the Colección Tloque Nahuaque (CTN), the Chicano Studies research library collection in the UCSB Library and from the Manuel A. Parsons papers or CEMA 176. It is arranged alphabetically by title and lacks subject access but includes materials on a variety of topics. Included in this guide is the listing of the serials in printed form and/or the library microfilm with library call numbers. There are 13 cartons. The dates range from the late 1800s to the early 2000s.

Scope and content:

This collection contains 9 cartons (boxes 1-9) of newspapers, newsletters and magazines collected by the UCSB library's Colección Tloque Nahuaque. The periodicals range from the late 1800s to the early 2000s and are relevant to Latino and Chicano studies. They are arranged alphabetically by title. The collection includes a list of the periodicals that are available in the library's microfiche holdings as well as paper copies. Box 9 contains a list of the periodicals, alphabetized by title.

This collection also contains 4 boxes (boxes 10-13) of newspapers collected by Manuel A. Parsons in the course of his community work and activism in San Diego, CA from 1980-1995.
