Background

Scope and content:

This very large collection contains videotapes produced by Charles Cyberski and his partner Richard Wright for their mail-order business, MEN (Male Entertainement Network). Included are leather and drag contests, variety shows, the Gay Games, coverage of events such as a gay cruise and the 1984 march on the Democratic Convention, and a few personal/experimental pieces. Almost all of the video was shot on location in San Francisco and Chicago. Relevant items from the collection were transferred to DV-AVI archival masters and AVC-MP4 service copies by RaineStudio Audiovisual Production beginning in 2010.
