This collection consists of production materials related to the career of American film director Richard O. Fleischer (1916-2006). The production materials include scripts, call sheets, storyboards, concept art, photographs, and research notes. Some of the films represented in the collection include Soylent Green, Tora! Tora! Tora!, See No Evil, The New Centurions, and The Jazz Singer.

Biographical / historical:

Robert O. Fleischer (1916-2006) was an American director of film, active from 1943 until 1989. During his career Fleischer received awards for his work on Design for Death, Soylent Green, and a Saturn award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror for his "Career in Film." He was most known for his work on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Fantastic Voyage, Mandingo, and Doctor Doolittle (1976).
