Scope and content:

This collection contains programs, newspaper clippings, photographs, and memorabilia relating to Youkstetter's involement in the Pomona College Men's Glee Club from the years 1929 to 1933, including photographs from their 1932 trip to the National Glee Club Championship in St. Louis where they placed first.

Biographical / historical:

Frank Youkstetter was an accompanist and piano soloist for the Pomona College Men's Glee Club. After graduating from Pomona College, he continued his piano studies in New York City, received an M.A. in Music from USC, and became a professional pianist. He made his professional debut in Los Angeles in 1937 and went on to appear at leading schools and colleges throughout the United States.
