Background

Scope and content:

The first five series of this collection contain reports, correspondence, minutes and other material which originated with or were transmitted to the University of California Riverside College of Letters & Science in the early years of UCR (1954-1969). Annual Reports of the various departments as well as minutes of Faculty Committee meetings and of the Executive Committee are featured.

The collection also includes a later accrual from the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS) Dean's Office, which consists of trophies, plaques and medals commemorating UCR's participation in the City of Riverisde's Corporate Games.

Note: the College of Letters & Science at the University of California, Riverside was eventually renamed the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS).
