This collection consists of documents, pamphlets, correspondence, and flyers related to conferences and events held mostly in California during the 1950s and 1960s, focusing on turfgrass management and research. Materials in the collection also include brochures and photographs from the Southern California Turfgrass Institute.

Processing of the Turfgrass conferences and events collection was completed by undergraduate students from the University of California, Riverside, as part of the Special Collections & University Arcives Backlog Processing Project started in 2015.
