These sketches (some originals and others printed) are primarily of California scenes, including Boulder Dam, Yosemite, the Ventura Mission, Los Angeles High School on Ft. Moore Hill, Giant Redwoods, and Exposition Park.

Biographical / historical:

Charles Owens (1881-1958) was a Los Angeles Times illustrator from 1921 until 1953.
