Scope and content:

The collection includes a five-volume record of the 1993 reorganization of the Division of Biological Sciences and materials related to the 2005 creation of the College of Biological Sciences. The records include course curriculum, materials related to the construction of the Sciences Laboratory Building, and memorabilia such as a model of the Sciences Laboratory Building and a signed portion of a water pipe broken during the building's construction. The collection also includes digital files from Thomas Rost, former Associate and Executive Associate Dean of the College of Biological Sciences.

Biographical / historical:

The College of Biological Sciences is one of the four Colleges of the University of California, Davis. It is home to five departments: Evolution and Ecology; Microbiology and Molecular Genetics; Molecular and Cellular Biology; Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior; and Plant Biology.
